Happy Birthday Matthew

After breakfast, we all piled into the car and headed out to Pleasanton for Matthew's fourth birthday. Of course...I fell asleep. It's not my fault! It's one of the Tang family genes! We get into a car...and we fall asleep!

Anyway...when I woke up, we were at a park! I saw Kyden and ran off to the jungle gym to climb and slide. These were the biggest slides that I have ever seen and was a bit scared. It was a good thing that daddy went down with me.

Later, this dude in a white lab coat showed up and started doing experiments or something. Boring! I kept going back to play on the slides and eat. Yum!

I think I ate three bananas, pine apple, hot dog, carrots, and other stuff.

What a fun day!

How Come I Didn't Get to Celebrate?!

When I woke up this morning, mommy and daddy were back! Yay! When I asked them where they were, they totally ignored me! Maybe they didn't understand my sign language and babble. Fortunately for me...I've got people.

There was a party...and I wasn't invited! Apparently, mommy didn't know she was invited either! Some folks went to La Foret for dinner and Auntie Christi and mommy crashed their party. Can you believe it? Mommy and Auntie Christi are party crashers!

It sounded like a fancy dinner for mommy's birthday. What didn't make sense was mommy and daddy went out for her birthday on Friday...her actual birthday. How come they went out twice?

Does this mean I get to celebrate my birthday twice? Awesome!

Have You Seen My Mommy and Daddy?

So mommy went to take a nap and the next thing I know...daddy and I are going outside to see Auntie Christi? What's she doing here?

She helped me open the bedroom door and, together, we woke mommy up from her nap. The next thing I knew, Auntie Christi kidnapped mommy and I was left at home with daddy.

After playing, daddy took Tachi and I for a walk around the neighborhood. Well, Tachi was walking and I was riding around in my stroller. With the weather as nice as it is, I love going for rides in my stroller. Mommy and daddy will tell you that I grab my shoes and go over to my stroller when I want to go out. Anyway...the ride was so relaxing, I fell right asleep.

When I woke up...no daddy! Instead, I opened my eyes and there was Ms. Nancy!

What the...?

Freaky Friday

Happy Friday everyone! That's what I said when daddy showed up early to pick me up. He even got there before my afternoon snack. I should have know something was up.

After we got home, daddy and Tachi took off for a car ride. He barely set me and my stuff down before he was gone. The next thing I knew, the doorbell rings and...it's Ms. Sandra (my teacher from daycare). Very strange. What's she doing here?

Mommy disappeared into her bedroom wearing sweats and a t-shirt and comes back looking absolutely stunning in a green and white dress. Then daddy disappeared and came back looking like he does when he goes to work. The next thing I knew...mommy and daddy were saying goodbye! What the....

My bad! I totally forgot it was mommy's birthday! Sorry mommy! In my defense...I was only two months old when you had your last birthday. Happy birthday!

Ms. Sandra was over so daddy could take mommy to some fancy schmancy dinner at Dio Deka. I had a great time with her...reading books, playing with my toys, and hanging out. When it was time for bed, she read me a few stories, rocked me, and sung me a sung...just like mommy does.

I sure hope mommy and daddy had as much fun as I did!

Do I Have Any Brothers and Sisters?

Strange question, huh?

The reason I ask is whenever daddy's at daycare waiting for me to finish playing, he's always got another kid in his lap!

One time, he came in and one of my classmates (we'll call her 'A') went racing over to him on her hands and knees (A can't walk yet) and beat me to him! She jumped straight into his lap and just sat there.

Another time, my BFF was on the toddler side while I was on the infant side. When my BFF heard daddy's voice, he started crying. My BFF then had his diaper changed and he kept reaching over to the infant side. Ms. Elaine (my future teacher) told daddy that my BFF was crying for him. Daddy conducted a quick experiment. He brought me over to the toddler side, put me down so I could play, and my BFF (who was crying his eyes out) went running over to him, gave him a huge hug, and immediately stopped crying!

So...does daddy have a bunch of illegitimate children that I don't know about?

Busted...Lip

Right now, I look a lot like Patrick Marleau...after he got his butt kicked by Kevin Bieksa last night. (Urgh...Sharks...you're really frustrating me.) That's right...I've got a huge fat lip with a big cut in it. : (

You might think I was playing with the toddlers at daycare and they hazed me before I transitioned over to their side of the pod...but no. I was playing with a toy at daycare and I was practicing my throwing. Well...I threw it really hard. I put my whole body into it. Well...it bounced back up and smacked me right in the mouth!

The next thing I knew, the daycare coordinator and the daycare director were there to check on me. I guess it looked pretty bad and they were having problems stopping the bleeding. They called daddy to come and check on me too.

In the end, they had to steam clean a bunch of stuff at daycare because I dripped blood all over it, I had to change my shirt because I dripped blood all over it, and now I've got another battle scar.

Don't worry...I'm fine. I just look funny.

Tea Party

One morning, my friend, who shall remain nameless (and faceless - daycare policy), sat down together to have a tea party.

I didn't know what a tea party so my friend had to teach me. First, I went to the costume corner to get hats for us. Daddy helped us put them on. Then my friend showed me how to pour tea and then sip it from the little cups.

It was sort of fun...but kind of strange. I was still thirsty after having tea. I mean...it's not like we were really drinking anything. I guess I just need to use my imagination.

Open Letter

Dear Mr. McLellan and the San Jose Sharks,

Please play game 7 like you actually want to advance to the next round. I'm tired of seeing you guys skate around like you're scared of touching the Wings. It's not like they have cooties or anything. Hit someone, handle the puck, and at least make it look like you're trying.

You're making my daddy really grumpy.

Your fan,

Logan (not Couture, but he sure does have a cool name)

Flashing Back to the 80's

So I almost forgot about this.

For all those old people out there, you might remember an info-mercial for something called the "flowbee." If you don't, it's basically this vacuum hair cutting thing. You'd think they could update the packaging.

Anyway...after fighting with mommy and daddy during my last haircut, daddy said that we should get one of these. Apparently, daddy and his brothers had one when they were growing up. Well...through the wonders of Amazon...one showed up on our doorstep.

For one...I'm not scared of the vacuum cleaner. Two...feeling the vacuum suck my brain out is really weird...so I freeze. After about 5 minutes...everything was done. Nice fade around the sides and back. A bit off the top. Painless!

...And Then I Rode A Pony

As if the couch climbing wasn't enough to show I was better, I also decided to go for a pony ride

I think I played a bit too hard...because I woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Sunday. I wouldn't call it a total relapse...but I sure did spend a lot of time crying.

Lesson learned? Daddy is unphased by crying. He might get grumpy and ignore me, but he won't give me what I want. Guess I'll have to find another way to get at him. Any suggestions?
