Hello Happy Hollow!

To celebrate my last three poo's, mommy and daddy took me to Happy Hollow! You're probably trying to figure out why we're celebrating poo, right? Well, they've been solid! What's the big deal? Now that it's solid, I can go back to daycare! I think mommy and daddy are really happy that I can go back to daycare. Ok...I just realized what I've been talking about. Sorry! TMI!

Moving on...

We headed out after my morning snack. Happy Hollow is really close to home! The first thing we did was hit the rides. Let me tell you...absolutely terrifying! They may be called "Mini Putts" and "Granny Bugs," but they scared me to death! Everything was fine until mommy left! This booming voice rained down from the heavens and then things started spinning really fast! I may look calm, cool, and collected, but it was just for the camera. As soon as the camera was off...whaaaaaa!

After having my pants scared off, mommy and daddy finally had the guts to ride one of the rides with me. "Danny the Dragon" took us through the forest where we saw panda bears, a panther, a princess with really long hair, and a dwarf who lived in a mushroom. This was definitely more my speed. Maybe it was because mommy was holding my hand.

After all of the rides, I played in the Redwood Lookout play area. I got to climb up and slide down a whole bunch of times. I LOVE slides! Then my tummy started grumbling. Time for lunch! After lunch, we hit the zoo. I got to play with goats and feed a miniature horse. The horse was smaller than me! Daddy found some food and put it in my hand for the horse. That little guy almost sucked my fingers right off! He must have been starving!

We checked out the whole park...and I can say that I'd highly recommend it! I had so much fun and I played until I passed out! I nearly fell asleep on the carousel! So....who wants to go with me next time?

Warning: Adults Only

AGAIN...FOR ADULTS ONLY! DON'T CLICK THE LINK IN THIS POST AT WORK OR ANYWHERE PEOPLE WOULD BE OFFENDED HEARING THE F-BOMB. THAT MEANS NOT IN FRONT OF THE LITTLE ONES (LIKE ME!).

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way...

Can you believe this book? I always thought that mommies and daddies loved putting us kiddos to sleep. I thought it was a bonding experience as we snuggled up all peaceful on mommy and daddy. "Oh...he looks so peaceful." Blah blah blah.

Apparently even movie stars get frustrated when we don't want to go to sleep. What is it about you big people that you can't understand that we just want to hang out with you and that we don't want to miss out on anything!

Sick? No Way!

Today was my first day back at daycare since Friday. Yay! I missed everyone. It's so much more fun at daycare than it is at home. Not to say anything bad about mommy and daddy...but it's just more fun with my friends.

Anyway...after my afternoon nap, I had this huge poo brewing. When I finally let it out...it escaped from my diaper. I mean...what can you expect...it was HUGE!

There are a lot of kids out sick right now and everyone is hyper sensitive about poo...so I got the boot...again! Banned!

Does this look like a sick kid to you?

Guess I'm stuck back at home again with the 'rents.

I Think Daddy's Mad At Me

If you remember a while back, my buddy Kyden said that the way he's dressed is directly correlated to how good he was (in his daddy's opinion).

Well...you be the judge...MC Hammer pants + a Sponge Bob tank top that's too small? I guess daddy really didn't like my Father's Day present. (Actually, I don't think he likes chasing me around the house when he feels like crap and I feel GREAT! BTW...mommy's in worse shape than daddy. Sorry mommy!)

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!! (Sorry!)

For Father's Day, I made daddy a volcano! I know what you're thinking...AWESOME! Right? Every boy loves a good volcano! Mine was complete with flowing lava.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture...and daddy (or mommy) didn't like my present.

Did I mention that I made my volcano with my diaper? (If you're confused...stage 2 of stomach flu starts with 'd' and ends with 'rhea.'

To top it all off...I gave daddy (and mommy) the stomach flu! :(

Happy Father's Day!

Absolutely Spent

I can confirm that once you're hung over, you're totally wiped out the next day.

Grandma and grandpa can confirm...I looked good for spending the whole night with my head in the sink. I was running around...blabbering...and staying hydrated. Everyone said that hydration was the most important thing. I made sure to drink plenty of water and milk.

Then...I hit the wall.

Happy Friday...Hung Over Saturday

After my afternoon nap, I looked up and saw daddy, grandma, and grandpa staring back at me through the window. I was in utter shock! I just stood there with my jaw dropped, staring at the window.

Grandma and grandpa hadn't seen my homebase since I moved to homebase E. Since I was hanging out on the toddler side, I showed them around so they could see what kind of things I'd be doing when I begin my transition on Monday. They then took a quick trip over to the infant side to see my latest paintings, my family board, and the pictures that my teachers had taken over the past few months.

Friday was the last day for one of my friends. To say goodbye, his mommy and daddy brought us all cupcakes! Yum! I have to watch my figure, so I only had a few bites before I said I was all done. No...I'm not lying. I really only had a few bites.

Daddy slipped out to take mommy to The Mountain Winery for a late Mother's Day present - Diana Krall in concert. That was okay. I knew grandma and grandpa were there and they would take good care of me.

After snack and more play time inside, grandma and grandpa helped me put my shoes on and we went outside to play for a bit. Then it was time to head home for dinner, a bath, and bed. Dinner was great! Grandpa and I were pushing my push toys around the house until I was exhausted and finally passed out.

About 10:45 pm, something was brewing in my tummy. I was sound asleep and knew I had to sit up. The next thing I knew...my dinner was staring at me! What the heck?!

Needless to say...the rest of my night SUCKED! I was up all night...puking!

Daddy was taking care of me and told me that this is what happens when you drink too much. It sounds like he's had plenty of experience with that so I'll take his word for it. I sure don't want to go through that again!

Little Gym Graduation

Today was the last day of The Little Gym spring session. That meant it was "show week" where we showed off everything that we practiced over the past 20 weeks. That meant lots of somersaults, back flips, balance beam work, and high bar work.

That also meant that mommy came down to the gym to see me work out. She was really amazed at all of my gymnastic moves. This was also the first time that she saw the gym since they renovated a month or so ago.

After we played with bubbles (typically the last thing we do before we sing the "go home" song), Mr. James (our teacher) pulled out one of the big platforms and invited each one of us up. Each one of us got a medal! This is my first medal ever!

To celebrate, mommy, daddy, Auntie Christi, Kyden, and me had dinner at Pasta Pomodoro. I built my own pasta dish (fusilli pasta with tomato cream sauce and chicken). Soooooo good! Did I mention that kids eat free on Tuesdays?

It was after 8:00 when we left the restaurant...bed time!

Froose? What's a Froose?

I forgot to tell you guys...me + the sales guy = unbeatable!

We were grocery shopping at Whole Foods and this guy was walking around with a big stuffed moose in his cart. He passed by a couple of times before he approached mommy and daddy. He said he was giving out free samples of Froose. He had me (and daddy) at free samples.

So, if you know my daddy, you know that he'll take the free samples and not think twice about buying whatever the person is trying to sell. After listening to the guy explain that Froose is this new, organic, low sugar, juice with whole grains, we got to try all three flavors: peach, cherry, and pear.

It sounded nice and healthy, so I got to try each one too. They were DELICIOUS! I kept signing, "more, more, more" after every sip.

Daddy caved. We've got three bottles in the pantry. :)

Brrr....It's Cold in Here.

Does this look like a sick kid? I sure don't think so!

I was feeling better and needed to get out of the house for a while. I convinced mommy and daddy to take me to check out Ortega Park. It's a pretty nice park. There's a big field where people were playing cricket. There's a couple of play grounds (one for the little kids like me and one for the bigger kids). They have a bouldering wall to practice rock climbing. They also have a water play area with a bunch of fountains.

Even though mommy and daddy knew they had a water area (and everyone knows how I like the water), they didn't bring me an extra change of clothes...thus...the picture.

Public Service Announcement

So...you all know I've had a mild fever and that I've been cranky. Daddy stuck his finger in my mouth (almost gagging me) and told mommy that one of my molars is coming in. It all seemed to make sense. They blamed everything on my tooth! My fever. My crankiness. My drooling (if you can believe it...it's gotten worse).

Today, while I was showing off my tonsils and exercising my lungs, mommy noticed these things on my tongue that looked like cold sores. At first, she thought I had herpes! Can you believe it? What kind of people does she think I hang out with at daycare? What does she think I do at daycare? She said that one of her co-worker's kids got it from daycare. What kid of daycare does she go to?!

Of course, that means a doctor's visit was in order. Herpes? No. Hoof (hand, foot) and mouth disease? Yes.

PSA of the day: Don't lick live stock.

I'm not blaming Tachi because he doesn't have hooves (or hoof and mouth disease) and he's not livestock. I'm just saying...don't lick livestock.

Kickin It With Daddy

Since I got kicked out of daycare yesterday, daddy got kicked out of work. What's that mean? he got to spend the entire day with me! Yay!

Unfortunately, I still wasn't feeling all that great. My temperature wasn't back to normal and I was just feeling totally cranky.

So what's daddy do? Makes me sleep on the floor! He said we were going to "play camping" to see if I was ready. I don't get it. Why should I sleep on the floor when there's a nice, comfy crib right there? It's all very strange.

Later, mommy came home to see me...river of boogers and all. I wonder why she didn't want to hug me?

Here's a tip for all you kiddos out there who like sleeping on your parents. Just cry! Everyone knows that my whining and crying doesn't normally work with daddy...except when I'm sick. Then, he lets me sleep on him. If you ask me...it's just an excuse he uses to nap too.

Kicked to the Curb

Can you believe it...it's just 100.3. Can't a kid be a bit cranky from time to time? Sheesh!

My Grandpa Rocks!

This weekend, my grandparents came down to visit me. They just got back from their whirlwind vacation to Washington DC. They brought me this really cool book about a little girl who's stuffed bunny got left in the washing machine at the laundromat. How tragic! I won't tell you anymore...don't want to give the story away.

Anyway...grandpa took me to swim lessons, and, for the first time ever, I wore goggles (and kept them on the whole time)! It's really cool being able to see under water. I also wore flippers. It was weird being a duck.

After swim lessons, we went to the Kong Tofu for lunch. Mommy and daddy have been trying to go here forever, but they were always closed. Lunch was pretty good...but I was so distracted checking things out that I didn't eat too much.

While I was taking a nap, grandpa helped daddy fix the plumbing. Daddy's pretty handy, but he couldn't figure this one out and he had a plumber coming on Monday. Grandpa went out in the rain with daddy, checked out a couple of things, made a trip to Home Depot, and $12 later...everything was fixed! Yay!

Daddy's been trying to fix the pipes for weeks and grandpa did it in like two hours!

My grandpa rocks!

More Than Boogers Come Out of Your Nose

Did you know that more than boogers can come out of your nose?

Today, I was playing at daycare when I felt some stuff running out of my nose. I thought it was just boogers. That happens all the time. No big deal. One of my teachers just grabs a tissue, I try to run away, they catch me, and wipe my nose clean.

This time, Ms. Nancy freaked out!

Apparently, blood can come out of your nose too! Very strange. As soon as it started, it stopped...just like someone turned it off.

Weird.
