4th of July Wrap Up!

Man I had a busy weekend! I was so tired after all of the activity, I slept through the night! Wait...that's every night that Mommy and Daddy let the batteries die in the monitor! Hmm...maybe this is all a ploy! If the batteries don't die, then I get my normal 2 am snack. If the batteries die, then I get stuck sucking on my arm until the morning! Anyone else thing that Mommy and Daddy are ignoring me on purpose so they can get more sleep?

Anyway...on Saturday, we took Tachi out to Fort Funston. Ever since I came along, Tachi hasn't gotten to do anything fun. He's also been bumped down a notch on the totem pole so he's been sorta mopey. As a treat, we took him to the beach to play with his other dog friends! What was strange was that about 10 minutes into playing, he just flopped down on the sand! Before I came along, he'd play in the surf for hours! Daddy couldn't decide if Tachi was getting old or if he was just out of shape.

After a long hike up from the beach, we watched some of the hang gliders take off from the bluff and, believe it or not, we spotted 3 macaws in a tree! There were two red ones and a blue one! Daddy said that this was very very strange.

On Sunday, we thought about going to see fireworks with Auntie Sylvia, Uncle Ken, and Tyler...but then thought better of it because we would have had to stake out a spot 3 or 4 hours ahead of time! You know I can't spend that much time in the sun! With my complexion...I'd roast! Instead...we hung out at Tyler's crib and pigged out! They made all sorts of good food! Apparently beer, BBQ, and friends are the best way to spend the 4th of July!

I hadn't totally recovered from the day at the beach and ended up crashing in Tyler's cool Cars bed / couch thingy! It was super comfy and even had a built in blanket! To quote of of daddy's favorite actors (Will Smith): "I have got to get me one of these!" Can anyone guess the movie?

Finally, on Monday, I met up with "The Tribe." Apparently, "The Tribe" is mommy's gang from college. From the stories I've heard, she was sort of a hooligan! Daddy didn't know her back then...so I'm looking for the dirt! Someone fill me in!

Anyway...a bunch of people met up at Niles Community Park in Fremont to race jogging strollers and let the dogs get some exercise. I think this was the most activity that Tachi's had in a long time.

From left to right...you can see Kyden's feet, me passed out in the middle, and the Big Z on the right (aka Zachary). I borrowed a friend's B.O.B. stroller to try out (well...for mommy to try out). Seemed fine to me, but what do I know...I just have to sit there. Someone else has to carry this thing around and push me.

After walking for a couple of hours, we turned around and grabbed some lunch at Chipotle. Auntie Katherine and Uncle Eric kept taunting me with a burrito. How mean! Just wait...one of these days...I'll get my burrito!

Hey Ladies!

As promised...here's my bathtub picture! Auntie Christi said that my new tub was for toddlers. Oh well...my little blue tub was cramping my style! Now I can spread out and relax! Every time I hop into the bath, I feel the day's stress drain out of my body and I feel like a new man!

Auntie Audrey and Matthew came by today for a quick visit. He was all over the house, leaving what Auntie Audrey called his "snail trail." Not only was he fast...but he drooled up a storm! I can't wait to crawl. It looks like so much fun! They dropped off some extra formula for me and rice cereal! Yum! Now if I could only figure out how to eat something that doesn't come out of a bottle....

Next week we're going over to Matthew's crib to hang out. I heard he has an awesome play area with a slide! All of the things I have to look forward to!

Call Me Dhalsim, Yoga Master

Mommy took me to a pilates/yoga class for moms and babies, called Pi-Yo Play. It was so much fun! There were exercises for mommy, exercises for just me and exercises for both of us. I was laying on my back for most of the class, but it was so fascinating watching all the other mommies, babies or the scarf in mommy's hand.

The teacher even picked me as one of her demo babies. I did really good too! I didn't drool or spit up on her. Well, maybe just a little bit of drool. :) My favorite exercises were "I Love You" or "Super Baby". I let mommy know that I really liked those because I smiled and laughed the most during those exercises.

Mommy even sang songs while she exercised with me! We sang the Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Mary Had a Little Lamb, The Noble Duke of York (mommy's never heard of that one before), and Rainbow Connection. It must've been a good workout cuz I fell asleep at the end of class while the mommies sat in a circle talking and sharing mommy experiences.

Sorry, no pictures of videos of me or mommy in class, but here's a YouTube video of some of the exercises we did:

Ridin' in Style!

Check me out in my new wheels!

Nice Italian things with wheels: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti, Peg Perego

Yup...I'm ridin' high in Italian style! Daddy says that I shouldn't get used to this and that I shouldn't expect anything like this when it's time for me to drive. He said that his first car was an orange, Toyota Tercel that some of his "friends" were embarrassed to ride in. I think daddy needs some new friends.

Daddy spent part of last weekend restoring (cleaning and disinfecting) my new stroller because my new stroller isn't so new. We went to visit a nice Russian couple on Friday and after some strong arm tactics, mommy and daddy left with the stroller and a new toy for $45! I have absolutely no concept of money...but it's Italian! It must be good!

Look Out Michael Phelps!

So you're probably wondering why Michael Phelps should look out for me when I'm just passed out in my crib. It's because my swim training started yesterday and I got worked that hard!

Back when my buddy Ky started his triathlon swim training, he bought me a speedo. Is it weird that I got a speedo from Ky? I wonder how much thought he put into making sure it was flattering to my figure.

Anyway...I now spend every Sunday working out at the Sutton Swim School in Cupertino. Here's a quick run down of the workout that Kelly (my HOT instructor) puts me through:
  1. Sing songs while we twirl and bob around in the water.
  2. Tie me up in a water noodle so daddy can drag me around the pool.
  3. Jump into the water from the edge of the pool. Climb up onto a big, blue, floating piece of foam. Crawl across said piece of foam. Jump off of the foam back into the water. (Yeah right! I can barely hold my head up!)
  4. Sit on the big piece of foam while the big people make it rock and roll in the water.
  5. Transform into a torpedo.

I really didn't like being transformed into a torpedo. Daddy gave me to Kelly and she dunked me under water and pushed me towards daddy. When I popped up, daddy was right there to save me...but I was NOT happy! Then she did it again! URGH! Kelly's not so hot anymore.
