Knock Knock. Who's There?

After I woke up this morning, I joined Tachi on his morning walk. It was really peaceful and I love hearing the birdies talking. After we got back, mommy fed me applesauce oatmeal for breakfast. I was absolutely starving! There were no leftovers!

After that, I raced around the house on my fire truck. Then, the doorbell rang. I ran over to see who it was and...surprise! It was Henry, Auntie Nancy, and Uncle Austin! I was very confused. The next thing I knew, we all piled into the swagger wagon and were off! Of course, I fell asleep. When I woke up, I had no idea where we were. Henry and I hopped into our strollers and off we rolled...to the Monterey Bay Aquarium!

We started off with checking out the otters. Those guys are really cute. I wonder if mommy would let me keep one in the bathtub. One of my favorite things was the touch pool. Starfish are pretty rough. I thought they'd be a lot squishier than the were. I tried to touch a bat ray, but the didn't want anything to do with me. It must be my imposing figure.

We had lunch and Henry shared his rice with me. I had to return the favor so I shared my grilled cheese with him. Then, he shared his cheerios with me. We're such trendsetters that Uncle Austin shared his fish tostada with mommy!

After lunch, we waddled over to the see the penguins. Those guys are pretty cool. There were three of them who kept trying to eat my fingers through the glass. I'm too short to reach above the water line, so the penguins were diving under water to get at my fingers! It was like they were flying under water! After I got bored with the penguins, Henry and I hatched out of a huge penguin egg. Daddy said we looked like Mork. No one knew who he was talking about.

We spent the rest of the day checking out cool stuff like jellyfish, sea horses, giant fish, tiny fish, and a play area! Daddy put me on this big water bed thingy. It wasn't bad enough that he put me on there, but he kept pushing on it so I'd go up and down with the waves. SEASICK! Stop it! We crawled around in these coral reef tunnels, touched more stuff in the touch pools, and ran around like crazy people. Uncle Austin even put fins on Henry! That wasn't the worst thing that we endured. Daddy tried to feed me to a giant clam!

It was an awesome way to end the weekend! Thanks for inviting me out Henry! We'll have to do it again!

Today was absolutely my saddest day at daycare. It was Ms. Christine's last day.

She decided to go back to school to become a pediatric nurse. I know it's the best thing for her future, but I'm going to be a little bit selfish and say I really wish she could stay at daycare. She's AWESOME!

To say thank you to her, daddy organized a little gift with some of the other parents. We all got together and decorated some scrubs for her. I know she liked them because she cried a little bit when we gave them to her.

I know she's going to be an awesome nurse and I'm going to miss her big smile and huge hugs. Maybe she'll get a job at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation office on Rainbow Drive in San Jose (hint hint).

I'm going to miss you!

Random Thoughts (and Experiences)

This was a very random weekend. To summarize:

• Did you know you can sneeze spaghetti noodles out of your nose?


• Doctors don't necessarily know how to hold kids.


• Either I'm huge or my aunt is tiny. She only weighs 4 times more than me.


• All grandmas need to start grandma camp.

If you want to know the details...

Edison invited me over for a spaghetti dinner. While chewing, I sneezed. I didn't want to be rude and spray half chewed spaghetti all over the place so I did the best that I could to hold it in. My nose felt really weird for a while, but I finished dinner. After dinner, while I was playing, I sneezed again. Guess what?! That weird feeling was a spaghetti noodle in my nose! Thank goodness it came out!

Uncle Eddie and Auntie Lia were in town for a wedding. He wanted to hold me...so I let him. The weird thing was...he held me up by my armpits! My legs were dangling and I felt like a fish out of water. Uncle Peter started laughing because he thought a doctor would be more comfortable holding a kid. Guess not.

I went for a walk with mommy today. I went all the way down the block because I knew some of the other kids would be out playing. I made some new friends who showed me their bikes. They were AWESOME! I totally want a bike! Mommy and daddy made friends with "the Wongs." Every year, grandma Wong holds grandma camp for a week. Her grand kids come from all over the country and spend a week with her. She takes them out and they have a blast! Every grandma should have a grandma camp! (hint hint)

Happy 4th of July!

I've been hearing Kyden and Matthew talk about "Kiddie Fun Land" forever. It sounded like a ton of fun and I've been begging mommy and daddy to take me. I guess they didn't understand my sign language because every time I brought it up, they just gave me a banana. Strange.

When I woke up from my nap...we were at Kiddie Fun Land! How awesome! I had a quick snack (peanut butter and jelly sandwich) and we were off! We started the day at Illions Supreme Carousel. I think I rode that thing at least 10 times through the day! When we got off the ride, I saw Kyden and Matthew! Yay! Some experienced folks to show me the ropes!

They knew exactly where to go to avoid the crowds. We got on the railroad train ride and even went on rip roaring rapids! The only thing...there were no rapids! What a rip off!

To show everyone that all of us kiddos were on our best behavior, we even sat together to pose for a couple of pictures! If you remember...we NEVER sit still for pictures! To get all three of us...miracle! Honestly...we were just trying to behave so we could get souvenirs at the end of the day.

I was the daredevil of the bunch today. Right by the carousel was the "Bulgy the Goldfish" ride. I kept telling daddy that I wanted to go on it, but he didn't believe me. I guess he didn't think I was ready for it. So...I got him to take me on the "Strawberry Sundae." That's a ride where you sit inside these ginormous strawberries and it spins around. I thought it was a piece of cake. I think daddy was getting sick. I guess he doesn't like rides that spin around.

After that, mommy and daddy finally let me get on Bulgy. Everyone thought I was going to cry. They were even taking bets on how many times the ride would go around before I burst into tears! Can you believe it!

I have to admit...it was a lot faster than I thought it was going to be...but I took it like a man, held on tight, and made it through the whole ride without crying! Ha!

This place is awesome! I highly recommend it! Talk your parents into going here (and give me a call so I can come too!). Mommy and daddy are season pass holders now, so I think we'll be coming back! Yay!

A Long Car Ride...Totally Worth It!

It was supposed to be super hot today so I didn't understand why we piled into the car. The last thing I wanted to do today was leave the comfort of our air conditioned house. I'm just a baby! I could melt!

Within minutes of getting on the freeway, I was passed out. Auntie Christi says, "the Tang family genes" are strong in me. I've been told that Po-Po, Uncle Eddie, and mommy can fall asleep anywhere. I guess it's just a curse that I'm going to have to live with. The funny thing is that I think other mommies and daddies are jealous because I have this power.

When I woke up, we were in San Francisco! I can't remember if I've ever been to "the city" before, but I am sure that this is the first time that I crossed the Golden Gate bridge. I have to admit...it was pretty cool. I can see why people come from around the world to see this thing.

The next thing I knew, we were parking! Yay! My butt was getting sore from sitting for so long. We were right under the bridge at the Bay Area Discovery Museum! Awesome! Not only that...it was way cooler here than it was at home!

We started out at Lookout Cove and the Outdoor Learning Lab. I helped the other kids dig up a sunken ship, explored an old fishing boat and put away all of the junk the other kids left out. Yes...I cleaned up everything and put it back into the bucket where it belonged. After that, we hiked the Lookout Trail. The view was awesome! Not only could I see the Golden Gate bridge, but I could also see the whole museum!

From way up there, I thought I spotted a familiar face. Mommy helped me down the stairs and I ran over to check and see if I saw who I thought I did. It was my best buddy Henry! Yay!

We spent the rest of the afternoon together...crashing dump trucks, splashing around in the stream with the salmon and frogs, and exploring the meadow. We laughed at the old lady who got her Louis Vuitton purse finger painted and stared at the kids throwing tantrums at lunch. I think it made our mommies and daddies see what angels we really are!

We literally played until we couldn't play anymore and it was finally time to head home. I was asleep before we got to the freeway. (Don't blame me...it's genetic!)

It was great seeing you buddy! We gotta get together more often!
