Fishing with OLD Friends

Today, we hopped into the swagger wagon and made the trek up to San Ramon for Uncle Ritchie's 40th birthday party. 40! Can you believe it! That's like 40 times older than me! I wonder if Uncle Ritchie had to run away from dinosaurs when he went to school as a kid.

We saw lots of mommy and daddy's friends. Fortunately, Zachary and Kyden came along too. For some reason, Kyden was being shy so I hung out with Zachary for most of the afternoon. Uncle Ritchie and Auntie Margaret have a swimming pool...but it was FREEZING! I guess Hawaii and the warm tropical water of the pool at swim lessons have turned me into a wimp.

There was this monster swimming around the pool! It had a big tail and kept cruising around eating everything up! Zachary and I grabbed some twigs and went fishing, but we couldn't get it to bite.

Oh well. Hopefully when I get older, daddy and grandpa will teach me how to fish. I hear grandpa's an awesome fisherman and that he taught daddy everything he knows. He must be pretty good. Look at the fish he helped Tyler and Uncle Ken catch at the last free fishing day!

Happy Birthday Uncle Ritchie!

Hummmm Baby!

Mommy ditched work today and went to the Giant's game (in a luxury box)...without me! What the heck???!!!

At least she brought me something. Go panda! (Dunno what pandas have to do with the Giants...but it's a cool hat!).

I Think I Broke Daddy

Today, when I woke up from my afternoon nap, I turned over and I was face to face with daddy. What the heck?! Literally...his face was inches away from mine! (Remember...I take my naps on a mat at home too.) It was sort of scary. Then I looked closer and saw that he was drooling up a storm on his pillow. He must have been really tired. If you know my daddy...you know he NEVER takes a nap!

So how'd I break him?

It all started on Friday. For some reason, he didn't go to work. That means he didn't take me to daycare. That means he had to entertain me all day while mommy worked! Around lunch time, we went to mommy's company picnic at Saratoga Springs. It was a pretty cool place with a ton of kids running around. Mr. Mickey (like the mouse) said his son went to camp here and went on creek hikes, played on the obstacle course, and did other cool stuff. I totally want to try that out when I'm older. I met all sorts of people and ran all over the place.

Later that evening, we headed over to the Quonaka house to meet baby Sienna. She was so tiny! I was never that small! She didn't do much so I spent my time playing with Ky's toys. I rode his rocket scooter thing, spent time in his cozy coupe, and played basketball. Then I threw up on Auntie Christi's couch (sorry!).

Saturday started off pretty normal. Swim lessons in the morning, lunch, nap time. Before we had dinner, mommy and daddy got all dressed up. What the heck is going on? We hopped in the car and arrived at a skate park! There were kids on bikes and skateboards doing all sorts of tricks! Mommy said daddy needs to teach me to skateboard because she doesn't know how. I wanted to watch the action, but mommy and daddy hurried me inside the building next door.

As soon as we got in, we were blasted with music! We found Ms. Sandra, her daughter, and Ms. Jenny. Later, Ms. Claudia came with her husband and Henry and his mommy and daddy showed up too. I'm confused. I spent a lot of this weekend being confused. The music was a bit too loud for me so I wandered out of the big room and ran right into Ms. Nancy in a beautiful white dress! It was her wedding reception!

Unfortunately the music was a bit too loud for me and I was feeling overstimulated. We ended up leaving early and I passed out in the car as soon as it started moving. If you don't know...that's what us little ones do when we feel overstimulated. We sleep.

When we got home, we wandered down the street and joined the block party that was going on. We met all sorts of cool people and even some kids who were my age! Hopefully this becomes an annual event because it was a ton of fun!

On Sunday, daddy was rushing around the house like a crazy person. We all piled into the car and I did what I always do...fell asleep. When I woke up, I didn't know where we were. Mommy hopped into the back seat with me and gave me a PB&J sandwich and milk for snack. I kept looking around and thought the parking lot looked familiar. It looked like Gilroy Gardens. (Yes, we were just there a few days ago).

A bit later, this big Mercedes pulls up. It's Henry and his mommy and daddy! We spent the day running around Gilroy Gardens. I love this place! I was so excited that I didn't want to eat lunch. We rode a few new rides and I introduced Henry to some of my favorite rides.

As usual, we ran around until we just dropped. I made it out of the park, but fell asleep before we got out of the parking lot. When we got home...I went right to sleep.

And that's how I broke daddy.

Ever Wake Up and Not Know Where You Are?

Today started off like any other day. I woke up. Daddy walked Tachi and mommy got me ready for school and fed me breakfast. That's where the normalcy ended.

First...daddy wasn't dressed for work. He was wearing a t-shirt and jogging pants.

Second...mommy left for work and daddy was still home. Daddy and I always leave for daycare before mommy leaves for work.

I should have known something was up.

Finally, daddy got me into the car and we headed off to daycare. I think all of the weirdness of the morning tired me out because I fell right asleep once we hit the freeway. When I woke up and looked around, it didn't look like daycare. There was a big chain link gate. Huh? I looked over and saw Auntie Ann in the car next to us. Now I'm really confused.

So here's the story...daddy snuck out of work to take me to Gilroy Gardens. He invited Auntie Ann and Edison to tag along as well. Unfortunately, he thought it opened at 10:00, but during the week, they open at 11:00. Doh!

Back in the car...back to Starbucks! Coffee! Too bad I didn't get any. We hung out for a bit...sipped coffee, nibbled on peanut butter and jelly and pancakes. Finally...it was almost 11:00. Let's go already!

It was such a great day. Not too hot. No crowds. We almost had the whole park to ourselves! Edison had never been on a lot of the rides that Matthew and Kyden took me on so I had to introduce him to the boats, the ferris wheel, the race car, the fire truck, and Bulgy the fish. If you remember...Bulgy the fish was the ride that everyone thought would make me cry. Well...both Edison and I rode it and neither of us cried. Hah!

We played hard until we passed out. Edison didn't even make it out of the park before he conked out. Guess he had too much fun!

Dead or Alive

Dead or Alive? Anyone know who that is? (I'm not talking about the video game.)

Here's a hint...it's related to that weirdo music that mommy used to listen to when she was growing up.

And don't ask me why...it just seemed like a good idea at the time.
