Kabocha?

I was surfing the web and came across this.

From Wikipedia:

Kabocha (katakana: カボチャ) is a Japanese variety of winter squash. The word kabocha has come to mean a general type of winter squash to many English-speaking growers and buyers. In some cultures it is revered as an aphrodisiac. Kabocha is hard, has knobbly-looking skin, is shaped like a squatty pumpkin, and has a dull finished deep green skin.

So...is this weirdo saying that their baby is a green, aphrodisiac, elephant? Sometimes people are just weird.

Hi Uncle Jeff!

I took this picture just for you. I told mommy that I wanted to be a police officer and she said no because she would worry too much.

I guess I'll have to do something else when I grow up.

Weekend of Birthday Parties!

Yesterday was Matthew's second birthday party. Today was Leo's second birthday party. I guess I like to hang out with the older crowd.

After my nap, we headed down to Leo's new house in Almaden Valley (he lives in the same neighborhood that Uncle Mike (Kyden's dad) grew up in). They just moved so they combined Leo's birthday with a house warming. It was a pretty warm day already. I don't know why the house needed to be warmed.

We got there just as a cowgirl got there. I have never seen a cowgirl before. Daddy said she was the entertainment.

First, she started coloring one of my friend's faces! We do this to ourselves all of the time at daycare with the finger paint so it didn't seem that weird. The difference was this lady painted really nice pictures instead of the smears and smudges that we paint on own faces. My friend Rheanne got a butterfly. Leo got a whale. Matthew got an airplane. I got a train (just like Thomas)! Everyone was shocked that we stayed still...but we did!

After everyone got their faces painted, the cowgirl brought out her talking dog! It was so awesome (although not as awesome as Tachi, my talking dog). They caught a bubble and turned it into a puppy dog for Leo! Amazing! Then she made a dragon appear in an empty pot! She opened the pot and there was nothing there. Then she covered it and opened it again and there was a talking dragon! Unbelievable!

I hope I can have a cowgirl entertain me!

Happy Birthday Matthew!

Happy Birthday Matthew!

For his second birthday, he had a huge party at SwaRay.

Lesson #1: I HATE jumpy houses! Edison was running and jumping around and having a blast. Something must be wrong with him. Maybe that big super man 'S' on his chest and the cape gave him some kind of super powers.

Life was much better after I finally convinced daddy to stop putting me in there. There was a big kid room (with the jumpy houses) a rock climbing wall, this big spider web thingy, and a whole bunch of balls. Usually, I like playing with balls, but with all the big kids running around, I thought I might get trampled.

I retreated to the train room and the tea room. It was much quieter and more my speed. I had tea with mommy and played some piano for these cute twin girls. Unfortunately, I don't think they had an appreciation for music and they walked away. Oh well. Can't say I didn't try.

After playing, the lunch bell rang and we all sat down for pizza, fruit, and cake! I LOVE cake...but no one gave me any! Rip off!

We finished off the party with the "popinata." What's a popinata? Basically a huge red balloon full of lots of treats that all of us kids got to whack with a big stick. When it was my turn, I took my best three whacks at it...but the stubborn thing didn't break! Everyone kept smacking that balloon around until finally...POP! Treats went everywhere! I picked up a few things and gave them to Uncle Alan. I hope he appreciated me cleaning up for him.

I played until I passed out. Other than the jumpy house...I had a great time! Thanks Matthew!

Who You Callin Clown...Sucka!

Every year, CFC (Cisco Family Connection = daycare) has an end of the year celebration. In the past, it's always been a luau. For some reason, they decided to have a carnival this time.

They had snow cones, a magic show, a puppet show, and lots of carnival games. It was pretty cool...but it was super crowded. Daddy doesn't like crowds. I'm pretty sure I take after daddy. All I wanted to do was get out of there. I don't know what it is. I just feel like I'm walking around in a forest of giant people who are trying to squash me.

After we got out of there, I was a much happier person. Henry and I went back to our home turf, met up with Anthony, and played in the yard for the rest of the afternoon. We watered the plants (and ourselves) with the watering cans, chased each other in police cars, and mowed the lawn. I know it sounds like a lot of work...but it was so much fun!

Happy Friday!
