I went to visit the pediatrician today for my one month well baby visit. Daddy had to work, so Mommy took me all by herself. The doctor says I'm doing great! I'm gaining weight and growing taller. Go me! But I have a small head. =( Here're my stats from today's visit:
- Weight: 11 lbs even (75th percentile)
- Height: 22 3/4 in (84th percentile)
- Head circumference: 37.75 centimeters (34th percentile)
Daddy's worried that I have a small brain because my head isn't proportional to the rest of my measurements. Why can't he just appreciate that I'm over-achieving on my weight and height?! He also says I must have gotten my small head from Mommy because everyone knows that Daddy's head is huge.
Grandma Tang also came to visit today. When Mommy told her how much I weighed now, she started calling me hsiao pong pong, which translates to little chubby. Daddy thinks it's an insult, but Mommy explained that it's a term of endearment because Chinese people like their babies fat and happy. That's me!
Can someone teach me how to say, "little old one" in Chinese please. Everyone should have a nick name.
Hey Logan, You are way ahead of me in the percentile thing. Way to go... Share some with me. Whenever I go to my Dr. she says that I am less than 10% on everything...At least I am proportional tho... I am sure I will catch up one day. And that thing about Chinese peeps liking their babies fat is true since mommy just found out that my daycare provider is trying to fatten me up. Yes, they are Chinese.. :Op
ReplyDelete@Matthew: At least you're proportional. I know that Chinese people like fat babies...but still...give me a cuter nick name than, "Little Fat Fat!"
