Mason is 11 months old!

Happy 11 months to Mason!

Here's what he likes:
  • Meat: He's definitely a carnivore. And he's an equal opportunity meat eater...turkey, chicken, beef, pork...it's all good.
  • Clapping: We're not sure if he's clapping because he's happy or if he's trying to sign the word more.  If you clap at him, he'll usually start clapping. It's really cool when he claps with food in his hands. Mama doesn't really appreciate it when that happens.
  • Toilet paper: He loves to pull the toilet paper off the roll. To make sure we don't kill too many trees, mama's had to move the toilet paper.
  • Grabbing mama's mouth: He'll grab mama's lips and pinch them. When mama yelps because it hurts, he laughs and does it again.
  • Putting his hair in a ponytail: Okay, I don't know if he really likes it. But mama always puts his into a ponytail at the top of his head.
  • Dancing: He bounces up and down. Ms. May, one of his day care teachers, is training him. Every time he does this at day care, she says, "Go Mason. Go Mason. Go Mason."
  • Cruising: He's on the move more and more. Sometimes he even stands without holding on to anything, but then he plops onto his butt.
  • Day care: He doesn't cry anymore when dada drops him off. Sometimes he doesn't even look up when dada and I leave. Plus he's getting better at napping there too!  He's taken an hour plus nap several days now.  Let's hope he's figured out the benefits of napping.
Here's what he doesn't like:
  • Books: he's not as into books as I am. When mama reads to him before bed, he always tries to close the book before mama's done. Maybe that'll change as he gets older.
  • Rice: I think that's just weird. Who doesn't like rice? Every time mama gives him rice, he chews it and then spits it out. He's more of a bread guy. Oh well, more rice for me and dada!
