Summer Sickness?

Sorry for not posting anything in a week. Can you believe that I got sick! It's summer time, right? I thought getting sick was a winter time thing. Boo! I got kicked out of daycare on Thursday because I had a fever of 100.3. Well, daddy got me home and by the next day, it was up to 103.9! Yikes!

If you know me, then you know I get really clingy and cranky when I'm sick. That meant whoever was "working from home" that Friday really wasn't working at all. I usually require lots of attention but when I'm sick, I take it to a whole new level!

My fever was gone by Saturday afternoon, but I missed Greyson's red egg and ginger party. Boo! I heard it was a lot of fun and that there were smoking volcanos and a dinner show! Man...those Yamamoto's sure know how to throw a party!

Later that afternoon, I was feeling a lot better so I decided to stretch my legs and go climbing.

Easter #2 and #3

Can you believe I got to hunt for Easter eggs three times this year?!

The first time (at daycare), I didn't really get it. There were lots of other toys laying around to play with and the eggs were empty.

When we got together at Grandma and Grandpa's house, things started to click. There's supposed to be stuff inside of the eggs! Once I figured that out, there was no stopping me! Daddy and Uncle Brandon went outside to hide the eggs for Kimora and I. Uncle Brandon made it easy for Kimora and just plopped the eggs down on the grass. Of course, daddy had to make my life difficult by actually hiding the eggs around the yard...and the yard was HUGE! There were so many eggs! I even played nice with Kimora and practiced my sharing.

After the egg hunt, we had dinner (baby back ribs, chicken and shrimp shish kabobos, and sweet potato fries). Awesome! All stuff I could eat! Unfortunately, I finished off the day with a rash. Daddy said I looked like a cheetah.

The next day, we headed out to Uncle Channing and Auntie Joanna's for brunch. Even though there was a ton of yummy food, including this banana stuffed french toast, I was having an edamame craving. I ate a ton of it!

After everyone got done eating, one of the big kids hid more eggs! By this time, I was a total pro. Since the other kid (yes, there were only two of us hunting) was a lot bigger than me, Auntie Joanna gave me a hint - go for the yellow eggs because they have money in them! Cha Ching!

Even with the onset of a food coma, I managed to stay up way past my nap time. Eventually we headed out and I conked out in the car.

What an awesome weekend!

Spring Fling?

What's a spring fling? Something that Kobe Bryant had with some floozy? Now that I think about it, yeah...I guess it is. That's besides the point though.

The spring fling is actually our Easter celebration at CFC. Why a spring fling? Because it's politically correct. I don't know. I heard that in Florida, the Easter bunny has been renamed the Spring bunny and that Easter eggs are now called spring spheres. Really? Eggs aren't even spheres!

Anyways...it all means that mommy and daddy come to get me early, hang out, and eat lots of food (it's a potluck in our home base). While mommy and daddy were eating pizza, cookies, and lumpia, my friends and I were eating fruit, cheese, and cereal. Seems sort of unfair, huh?

We went outside and had an spring sphere hunt. This was my first one and it took a little while before I understood what I was supposed to do. First, I saw a blanket with a bunch of toys on it. Of course, that means I'm heading straight for it! Spring spheres? Ehhh. It's not like I could eat them (they were plastic). Mommy encouraged me and I eventually got it. I like putting things in my bucket at home. This was sort of the same. I had six in my spring bag (basket) when I went to play with my friends but only three when I got home. Hmm....maybe they other three are with my missing bottles.

We then went to visit the spring bunny. At first, I just thought he was a weirdo. I mean...I've never seen a bunny before, but I heard they were these little fuzzy things that hopped around and ate carrots. This bunny was HUGE and he was sitting in a chair! No hopping. No carrots.

Someone is going to have to explain this whole bunny / egg thing to me.

Oh...If I Didn't Sleep So Much!

So I heard the phone ring after lunch (it was daddy checking on me). Wouldn't you know it...I was exhausted! Nap time! I mean...come on! I always take a nap after lunch! You saw what happened on Tuesday!

So off daddy went...without me (or mommy...she's mad) to see some big silver cup. I guess this is a big deal.

I don't get it.

Exhausted!

So can I tell you that I've had a heck of a week!

My bottles keep disappearing and no one's doing anything about it! I've only got one left!

Oh...and get this! Now they've taken my crib away at daycare! I have to sleep on this mat on the floor! If you know anything about me, you know I move around a lot when I sleep. That means I don't stay on my mat! I've even ended up under the other cribs a few times!

And you wonder why I'm so tired?! Can you blame me? (If you're wondering...I did not fall asleep with my face in my plate at lunch. I waited until I was done.)
